1 OPENING CRAWL 1
Star Wars: Broken Allegiance
After the destruction of the Death Star at Yavin, the
Emperor orders Darth Vader to find the pilot responsible
by any means necessary. To assist in his goal, Vader has
trained two apprentices in the powerful ways of the Sith.
Having spent more than a year honing their skills and
versing themselves in Dark Jedi lore, the pair have become
disillusioned with their role in the Emperor’s grand scheme.
Fleeing Coruscant in a stolen transport, they are attempting
to escape Vader and gain their freedom from the tyranny of
the Empire...
2 EXT. SPACE - ORBIT OVER CORUSCANT 2
An Assault transport blasts away from Coruscant's
atmosphere, being pursued by a Super Star Destroyer. Its
turbolasers firing a barrage of laser fire at the ATR. A
small explosion erupts at the rear of the transport.
3 INT. COCKPIT OF ASSAULT TRANSPORT 3
At the helm of the transport are two apprentice Sith, a
male, Ruan, and female, Calis. They are both dressed in
black sith robes and working furiously at the controls of
their ship.
RUAN
Reroute all power to rear deflector
shields. We have to hold them off
till we can make the jump to
lightspeed.
CALIS
I knew we should have stolen a
faster ship!
RUAN
Calis, plot us a course out of
here!
CALIS
Sending co-ordinates to navi
computer now.
A laser blast rocks the ship.
CALIS (CONT'D)
Ruan! We’re losing power. Aft
shields are weakening.
A bleep from the comm system indicates an incoming hail.

IMPERIAL COMM OFFICER

Assault Transport, this is the
Super Star Destroyer Executor.
You are ordered to shutdown your
engines and prepare to be boarded.
Ruan flicks off the comm system.
4 EXT. SPACE 4
More laser blasts hit the assault transport. Camera tracks
from ATR to the bridge of the Super Star Destroyer.
5 INT. ON BRIDGE OF SUPER STAR DESTROYER 5
ADMIRAL OKINS stands on the bridge near a window looking
out to space. Near him, his second in command, CAPTAIN
HANNARD, a COMM OFFICER and TRACTOR BEAM OFFICER are at
control consoles.
COMM OFFICER
Sir they aren’t responding to our
hail.
ADMIRAL OKINS
That is of little concern. They
can’t escape us. Get a tractor
lock as soon as they are in range.
COMM OFFICER
Admiral, Lord Vader demands to
speak to you immediately.
Admiral turns around and faces the holographic image of
Vader which appears.
ADMIRAL OKINS
My lord.
DARTH VADER
I want that transport Admiral.
ADMIRAL OKINS
Yes my lord, we will have them
within moments.
DARTH VADER
Don’t disappoint me Admiral. I
expect you will have them by the
time I arrive.
ADMIRAL OKINS
Yes Lord Vader.
The hologram of Vader fizzles off.

6 INT. CORUSCANT HANGAR BAY -- MOMENTS LATER 6
Vader stands in the hangar bay where Ruan and Calis stole
the transport from. There are many dead bodies of Imperial
officers and Stormtroopers around. It looks like the
apprentices have used any means neseccary to escape. There
is an Imperial shuttle nearby with its hatch open.
DARTH VADER
(surveying the
carnage)
My students have learnt well...
Vader strides towards the shuttle.
WIPE TO:
7 EXT. SPACE -- MOMENTS LATER 7
The ATR flys past camera under fire from the SSD which is
in pursuit.
8 INT. ASSAULT TRANSPORT 8
The assault transport is now shaking more evidently.
RUAN
One minute till we jump. What's
our status?
A powerful blast knocks the ship and alarms ring out. An
explosion sprays from one of the consoles in the cockpit.
CALIS
We’ve lost main deflector shields,
sublight engines are failing, life
support's been damaged and we are
leaking coolant from the hyperdrive.
Furthest we are going to get is
the Bothawi system.
RUAN
Anywhere is better than here.
Ruan swerves controls sharply.
9 EXT. SPACE 9
Transport ship does huge dive and avoids a barrage of
firepower from the SSD.
10 INT. ON BRIDGE OF SUPER STAR DESTROYER 10
TRACTOR BEAM OFFICER
We are in range now.
CAPTAIN HANNARD
Engage the tractor beam.

We have a lock.
ADMIRAL OKINS
Excellent.
(looking at comm
officer)
Inform Lord Vader we have them.
IMPERIAL COMM OFFICER
Yes Admiral.
Lieutanant Detaan and two Stormtroopers enter.
CAPTAIN HANNARD
Lieutenant Detaan, assemble your
boarding party.
LIEUTENANT DETAAN
Yes sir.
(to troopers)
Set weapons to stun.
Troopers nod in acknowledgement and they all leave.
11 INT. ASSAULT TRANSPORT 11
CALIS
We're being pulled in. Diverting
power to engines.
(looks at readout)
No effect. C'mon hotshot, what
about some of your famous evasive
maneuvers?
RUAN
That beam's too strong to take
evasive action. I've got an idea.
Override the acceleration
compensator: full power. Bypass
the safeties if you have to. Then
launch two proton torpedoes from
the aft tubes on my signal.
Calis presses many buttons on the console.
CALIS
Ready.
RUAN
Now!
12 EXT. SPACE 12
Momentary jerk of ship upwards and 2 proton torpedoes
replacing the position of the transport which then races
towards SSD as tractor beam thinks the torpedoes are the
transport.

TRACTOR BEAM OFFICER
The tractor lock is fluctuating...
Positive lock re-established.
COMM OFFICER
Admiral Okins, Lord Vader has
arrived.
ADMIRAL OKINS
Ahh, just in time.
14 EXT. SPACE -- CONTINUOUS 14
The two proton torpedoes race towards the hull of the SSD
and impact upon its hull where the tractor beam emitter
is.
15 INT. BRIDGE OF SSD. -- CONTINUOUS 15
Red lights flash and alarms sound at the tractor beam
officers station.
TRACTOR BEAM OFFICER
Admiral!! We’ve lost the lock!
Tractor beam has been destroyed!
ADMIRAL OKINS
What? Launch fighters! Don’t let
them get away.
16 EXT. SPACE 16
Transport lines up for jump to lightspeed.

RUAN
Let's get out of here.
CALIS
Co-ordinates set.
Ruan pulls lever back and ship and stars streak back on
hyperjump.

Transport rockets away at light speed.
19 INT. BRIDGE OF SSD 19
Admiral is looking out at where the transport was. Vader
walks onto the bridge.

I received your transmission
Admiral. Where are they being held?
ADMIRAL OKINS
My lord, the fugitives managed to
escape to lightspeed after
destroying our trac...
Vader initiates force choke on Admiral Okins, closing off
his wind-pipe so he cannot breathe.
DARTH VADER
Failure was not an option, Admiral
Okins.
ADMIRAL OKINS
(choking)
We couldn't have anticipated... a
high risk maneuver... from an...
Admiral Okins collapses to the ground, dead. Two
Stormtroopers enter to drag off his lifeless body. The
bridge Captain Hannard who has been standing nearby
approaches.
DARTH VADER
(pointing at Captain)
I hope I don't have to remind you
of the consequences of such a
mistake, Captain Hannard.
CAPTAIN HANNARD
My Lord, we have done a heading
extrapolation of their hyper-drive
trail. From the damage they
sustained they couldn’t have jumped
more than once. Their trajectory
would suggest the Bothawi system.
Shall I set a pursuit course?
DARTH VADER
Not at this time.
(beat)
Contact the Bounty Hunters Guild.
I want Korbain Thor.
CAPTAIN HANNARD
At once my Lord.
(to Comm Officer)
Officer!
COMM OFFICER
Yes Captain.
Captain Hannard and Vader turn to look out the viewport.

CAPTAIN HANNARD
Lord Vader, this bounty hunter,
can he handle your apprentices?
DARTH VADER
Korbain Thor has served me well in
the past. He would not fail me.
Hologram appears of Korbain Thor. Captain Hannard and Vader
turn to look.
THOR
Who do you want me to kill, my
lord?
DARTH VADER
Two apprentices of mine. They
have betrayed me and are somewhere
near the Bothawi system.
THOR
Two apprentices... my costs will
be significant.
DARTH VADER
Credits are of no concern to me,
bounty hunter. Bring them back
alive, if willing. Especially Calis.
If they resist... terminate them.
THOR
It shall be done.
Hologram turns off.
20 EXT. SPACE 20
Shot of Super Star Destroyer.
WIPE TO:
21 EXT. SPACE 21
Shot of Thor's ship flies by.
22 INT. COCKPIT OF THOR'S SHIP 22
Thor is looking on screen as data from the SSD is sent to
him, locations etc. Thor presses buttons and he finds a
location that has a 98% probability that the ATR is there.
It has details of the planet also on screen. Thor jumps to
lightspeed.

SFX of Thor's ship entering lightspeed.

Ruan and Calis' ATR floats stationary in space. Far away
in the distance a planet can be seen. The hull of the ship
has taken quite a beating and there are numerous battle
scars on the hull. There is some smoke or gas venting
from one of the engines and small electrical arcing and
fritzing occasionally is seen on various parts of the hull.
The ship doesnt look in good shape.
25 INT. ASSAULT TRANSPORT 25
Catching their breath from their previous encounter, Ruan
and Calis look relieved to have gotten out of there in
once piece, and finally get a moment to relax, even thought
the tension is still quite high.
CALIS
Remind me... Whose idea was this
again?
RUAN
Yours.
Calis gives Ruan a dirty look.
RUAN (CONT'D)
Ours.
CALIS
We had no choice.
RUAN
I know. It was the best thing to
do under the circumstances.
CALIS
(hitting console)
I'm not sure this ship will make
the distance.
RUAN
We've got this far. How much damage
is there?
CALIS
The Sublight Engines are at 10%.
(looks at other
panel)
Hyperdrive motivator is fried.
(another panel)
Life support is minimal.
(sarcastically)
Apart from that, things couldn't
be better.

RUAN
We are almost in orbit of Bothawi.
What's left of the sublight engines
should get us there. Initiating
them now.
Interior lighting darkens with the power drain. SFX engines
struggling. Calis flicks Comm switch on.
CALIS
To any vessels in the vicinity of
the Bothawi system, we request
immediate assistance. Can anyone
hear this trans...?
RUAN
(grabbing comm switch
and shutting off)
Calis! What's wrong with you?
You're letting every bounty hunter
in the sector know we're here!
CALIS
(angry)
I don't want to die out here, like
this. Not after all we've been
through! You know what's at stake.
RUAN
Calm down, we're not going to get
out of here if we don't think things
through and act rationally.
CALIS
I'm sorry...but I know Vader is
out there somewhere, planning to
hunt us down and you know he won't
stop until we're dead.
RUAN
(supportively)
He can't hurt us here. I can feel
the tremors in the force, Vader's
anger over our escape, but perhaps
his obsession over Skywalker will
be enough to distract him.
CALIS
(disgusted)
Skywalker. He's just a boy. He
means nothing.
RUAN
He managed to destroy the Death
Star. Vader was lucky to escape
execution at the hands of the
Emperor for that. So now he's made
it personal.
(CONTINUED)

Well, being decieved and exploited
by the Empire is something I take

A beat.
CALIS (CONT'D)
The only good thing to come of all
this was meeting you.
They share a moment.
A bleep is heard and a light flashes on the console.
RUAN
Approaching orbit of Bothawi.
CALIS
I'll see whether I can get the
inertial dampeners online. Landing
is going to be difficult without
them.
Calis turns her attention to another console when a
proximity alarm sounds.
RUAN
Calis, we're not alone.
CALIS
Sensors picking up one craft.
Just dropped out of hyperspace and
closing on our position.
26 EXT. SPACE 26
Thor's ship flies toward the damaged transport.
27 INT. ASSAULT TRANSPORT -- CONTINUOUS 27
RUAN
Imperial?
CALIS
No, unknown markings. I sense
something else...
RUAN
Bounty Hunters.
28 EXT. SPACE -- CONTINUOUS 28
Thors ship takes up an attacking posture near the damaged
transport.

weapons systems?

Two turbolasers. Offline.
RUAN
Divert power from life support.
CALIS
(pushing buttons)
What's left of it. Ok. We have
minimal power.
30 EXT. SPACE -- MOMENTS LATER 30
Thor's ship blasts the ATR with fire from its Ion Cannon,
disabling the vessel.
31 INT. ASSAULT TRANSPORT -- CONTINUOUS 31
Electrical arcing crackles all over the ships console as
its critical systems are disabled.
CALIS
The ship's been disabled, we're
defenseless!
RUAN
Get to the escape pod it’s the
only way.
They both make a move out of the cockpit.
32 EXT. SPACE -- CONTINUOUS 32
Thor's ship starts to fire lasers at the ATR, small
explosions erupt all over the surface of the craft, then
just as an escape pod launches from the ATR the entire
ship explodes in a huge fireball, debris flying everywhere.
The shockwave from the explosion pushes the escape pod
faster towards the planet.

Thor is marvelling in the destruction of the ATR. His
screens then show tracking data of a escape pod which has
entered the atmosphere of the planet.
THOR
Hmm. Lucky.
An incomming hail comes up on the viewscreen. Thor presses
button and Vader appears on hologram.
VADER
I trust you have located them?
THOR
They have landed on Bothawi. I'm
sending the co-ordinates now.
VADER
I shall be arriving shortly. You
know what to do.
Hologram cuts off.
34 EXT. SPACE -- MOMENTS LATER 34
Thor's ship flies towards the planet.
WIPE TO:
35 EXT. SURFACE OF BOTHAWI -- AFTERNOON 35
Ruan and Calis are making their way away from a wrecked
escape pod. Calis is injured. She has a large bruise on
her forehead and a little bit of blood, she has obviously
hit her head in the crash landing and is a little unsteady
on her feet. Ruan is assisting her.
RUAN
Once we make it to cover, we'll be
alright. We don't have long before
that Bounty hunter starts searching
for us.
CALIS
Do you know who he was? Did you
recognize his voice or ship
configuration?
RUAN
I felt an unusual presence when he
arrived, unlike any other bounty
hunter I've come across.
CALIS
Should we be concerned?

RUAN
In your condition I'd rather not
face anyone. Let's keep moving.
They head for shelter in a wooded area.
36 EXT. SURFACE OF BOTHAWI -- MOMENTS LATER 36
Thor's ship touches down on the planet surface not that
far from the wrecked pod. He notices a spent stimpack and
a few drops of blood, pulls out a hand-held scanning device
and takes life-sign readings. He then moves off in search.
WIPE TO:
37 EXT. BOTHAWI RIVER BANK -- AFTERNOON 37
Calis and Ruan have been walking for some time and having
come to a stream they have stopped to take a drink.
RUAN
There's a settlement on the other
side of those hills. It shouldn't
be long before we're there.
CALIS
My head is feeling a little better.
That stimpack really helped.
Calis bends down by the river to take a drink and wash the
blood from her head. Suddenly inches from her head several
laser blasts hit the water. She does an evasive roll just
as Ruan lights his saber and blocks several more blasts
aimed at Calis.
Korbain Thor is standing further up the river bank on a
rock looking menacing, blaster in hand. By now Calis is
standing upright and her saber is also lit. Ruan and Calis
stand, sabers lit preparing for an oncoming duel.
THOR
You think you can run forever?
Vader doesn't take betrayal lightly.
He wants you dead and it will soon
be my pleasure to execute that
request.
RUAN
All we want is our freedom. Don't
even think you can stand in our
way.
CALIS
What makes you think you can take
us out?
Thor turns his blaster from horizontal to vertical and a
saber beam emits from the end.

His weapon doubles as both a blaster and saber.
THOR
Time to see how good a teacher
Vader is...
A lightsaber battle ensues with Ruan and Calis fighting
Thor in saber combat.
THOR (CONT'D)
It was a big mistake fleeing from
Vader. You could have learned much.
CALIS
We learnt enough.
The battle continues. Thor is doing very well in this two-
against-one situation. Thor uses force push to thrust Calis
away so he can turn his attention to Ruan. Thor comes in
close and locks blades with him.
RUAN
You fight like a Bothan.
Thor delivers a viscious blow to Ruans head with his elbow
and Ruan momentarily dazed.
CALIS
Vader must really be desperate
hiring the likes of you. What's
the matter? Couldn't he afford
Boba Fett?
Thor charges the two and dive-rolls over their sabers.
Battle continues and Ruan is kicked down a slope by Thor.
THOR
It's your fault the boy will die.
You should have come quietly.
CALIS
We'd rather die than serve Vader
again.
THOR
So be it.
One-on-one Calis takes on Korbain with a variety of fancy
saber moves.
THOR (CONT'D)
I sense why you are so important
to Vader. It will make watching
you die even more satisfying.
Calis crys out in hatred and attacks Thor with vigor. She
is certainly doing well against the bounty hunter. Calis
manages to throw Thor to the ground who rolls away.
(CONTINUED)

Calis comes in for a killing blow just as Thor converts
his weapon to blaster-mode and fires. The bolt hits Calis
in the upper-torso, who is flung back into a tree and slumps
to the ground.
Ruan has made it back up the slope from where he was kicked
just in time to see Calis shot. He drops his saber in
shock and screams.
RUAN
Noooooo!!!!!
In a fit of grief and rage Ruan uses force lightning for
the first time. Thor is hit from the back and twists around
in pain. Lightning is dancing all over him and he drops
his lightsaber. Thor reaches around in agony and throws
an explosive star device from his belt. It misses and
punches into a tree.
RUAN (CONT'D)
(standing)
You missed.
THOR
No I didn’t.
Star explodes and Ruan is thrown to one side, coughing and
disoriented.
THOR (CONT'D)
(kicking Ruan while
he is down)
The force is merely a tool, boy.
I won’t need it to finish you. If
you lived longer you might have
learnt that lesson.
Ruan sweeps Thor’s legs out from under him and makes a
grab for his lightsaber. Thor gets up and tackles him to
the ground. Thor head-butts Ruan, Ruan comes back with an
elbow and throws Thor off, judo style. Series of hand to
hand fighting, many punches/kicks. Ruan throws a left front
kick, which is grabbed by Thor. Ruan turns this into a
jumping roundhouse right kick. Both fall to the ground and
get up slowly. Ruan rushes in and kicks/knees Thor in the
gonads with the last of his failing strength. Thor bends
but stands straight back up.
THOR (CONT'D)
Wrong species.
Thor grabs Ruan by the throat and thrusts him against a
tree.
THOR (CONT'D)
I tire of this sport. Time to finish
you and claim my credits.
(CONTINUED)

Thor draws his light dagger from his boot and holds it
near Ruan's throat. Suddenly Calis apprears holding Thors
blaster, which he dropped earlier while being struck with
force lightning, holds it to his lower back and fires.
CALIS
No bounty for you.
Calis fires and Thor slumps lifeless to the ground. A faint
rumble can be heard. Tilt up to reveal a Super Star
Destroyer coming into orbit of the planet.
CALIS (CONT'D)
Now we're in trouble.
Ruan looks down at the body of Thor.
RUAN
Maybe not.
38 EXT. SPACE ORBIT OF BOTHAWI 38
SSD pulls up in orbit
39 BRIDGE OF SUPER STAR DESTROYER -- MOMENTS LATER 39
CAPTAIN HANNARD
We are in orbit of Bothawi my lord.
DARTH VADER
(turning to
lieutenant)
Lieutenant, assemble a squad. Pay
that bounty hunter and bring whats
left of Ruan and Calis to me.
LIEUTENANT DETAAN
At once Lord Vader.
Lieutenant Detaan leaves the bridge with several
Stormtroopers.
40 EXT. SPACE ORBIT OF BOTHAWI 40
A shuttle leaves the SSD and flies toward the planet.
WIPE TO:
41 EXT. BOTHAWI RIVER BANK -- AFTERNOON 41
Shuttle lands in a clear area by the river.
WIPE TO:
42 EXT. BOTHAWI RIVER BANK -- AFTERNOON 42
Lieutenant Detaan and Stormtroopers walk away from the
shuttle.

Thor(Ruan) moves into shot, holding Calis who is in binders.
RUAN/THOR
It is done.
LIEUTENANT DETAAN
Where's the other one?
RUAN/THOR
I had to kill him. I trust you
brought my money?
Trooper goes to hand Thor the case.
LIEUTENANT DETAAN
Wait a minute.
They freeze.
LIEUTENANT DETAAN (CONT'D)
Take off that helmet. Show me your
face.
RUAN/THOR
Why?
The squad of troopers all aim their blasters at Ruan/Thor.
Ruan tentitavely removes Thors helmet. A very tense moment.
Calis looks worried.
LIEUTENANT DETAAN
Finally, to see the legendary
Korbain Thor face to face. Its an
honour.
Ruan plays it up in his guise as Thor. The Lieutenant
gestures to the Trooper who hands Ruan the case of bounty
money. Calis is now in the custody of the troopers.
LIEUTENANT DETAAN (CONT'D)
(sleazily stroking
her cheek)
I am sure Lord Vader will be very
eager to see you again my dear.
CALIS
Well the feeling's not mutual.
LIEUTENANT
I hear he has special plans for
you.
CALIS
And we have plans for you.
In one fast move Calis' binders fly off. She force pulls
her saber from Thor's belt.
(CONTINUED)

She ignites it and sabers the two Stormtroopers. One gets
a shot off before he is struck but Calis deflects it.
Ruan blasts a couple. Lieutenant Detaan is looking shocked
and stunned at what has happened. He is the only one alive
all the troopers are dead. Ruan puts his gun to the
Lieutenant's head.
RUAN
Time to put you to use.
43 INT BRIDGE SUPER STAR DESTROYER -- LATER 43
COMM OFFICER
Sir I have an incoming message
from Lieutenant Detaan.
CAPTAIN HANNARD
Put it through.
Message from the shuttle comes on the Comm officers screen.
LIEUTENANT DETAAN
Captain Hannard, we have the
fugitives in custody and have
delivered the bounty to Thor. We
shall be returning shortly.
CAPTAIN HANNARD
Excellent. I shall inform Lord
Vader.
44 EXT SPACE ORBIT OF BOTHAWI 44
The Shuttle heads up from the planet towards the SSD. At
the same time Thor's ship breaks the atmosphere and goes
into hyperspace as the shuttle docks with the SSD.
45 INT HANGAR BAY OF SSD -- MOMENTS LATER 45
The Shuttle has landed and Vader approaches. On entering
the shuttle Vader sees the Lieutenant Detaan bound and
gagged and the dead troopers. The autopilot light on the
console is flashing. Lieutenant Detaan looks sheepish.
Vader turns and walks away.

vista of Bothawi. The camera tilts down to reveal the body
of Korbain Thor. We cut to a close-up of his face and his
mouth opens and we see him gasp a breath...
